From ancient Mycenean goldsmiths to Renaissance watchmakers, enamel was prized for its deep, lasting colour. Making enamel is a precise process that doesn’t allow for mistakes. Glass is crushed into a powder and sieved onto a thin sliver of metal, then baked at extreme temperatures. The end result is a material that’s built to last a lifetime with colours that’ll neither fade nor flake.
The white enamel dial of this men’s watch is protected by double-domed sapphire crystal – almost as hard as diamond and very difficult to scratch. Inside, reliable Seiko movement guarantees accuracy. A separate seconds subdial lies at 6 ‘clock.
Surgical-grade stainless steel makes up the metal elements – durable, scratch, and tarnish resistant. Anti-reflective coating on the crystal makes it easy to read the dauphine hands in glaring light, while high-grade lume ensures readability in the dark.
The straps are made from genuine leather that’ll develop a handsome patina over time. Easy to switch out, thanks to tool-free quick-release spring bolts.
